Tae Eke Educational Resources
Kahe Te Rau-o-te-Rangi was a brave wahine of Ngāti Toa Rangatira, Ngāti Mutunga, and Te Āti Awa. One night she had a dream that warned her of danger facing her people. Knowing she must act, Kahe prepared for a great journey.
With her pēpi tied securely to her back, and protected by karakia, Kahe swam from Kāpiti Island to the mainland to warn her iwi. Her courage helped keep her people safe.
Today, her story is remembered as a powerful example of bravery, leadership, and love for whānau.
This puzzle is brought to life through a single-sided image tray puzzle in A4 size (310 mm × 220 mm).
