Hatupatu and the Birdwoman is a powerful Māori legend of courage, quick thinking, and survival. After being chased into the wilderness, young Hatupatu is captured by the fearsome Kurungaituku, the Birdwoman. Through cleverness and determination, he escapes her cave and survives a dramatic pursuit across forests and steaming geothermal lands.
This puzzle is brought to life through a single-sided image tray puzzle in A4 size (310 mm × 220 mm). Available in 4-piece, 9-piece, 12-piece and 18-piece options, it supports early learning, problem-solving, and fine motor development while connecting tamariki to Māori storytelling in a meaningful, hands-on way.
