Tae Eke Educational Resources
This puzzle features three connected learning elements: Tyrannosaurus rex, the tuatara, and an educational dinosaur size comparison chart printed on the image tray base. One side of the puzzle shows T. rex, one of the largest land predators to ever live, roaming the earth during the Late Cretaceous (around 68–66 million years ago). The other side features the tuatara, a taonga species found only in Aotearoa New Zealand, often called a living fossil because its lineage dates back to the Triassic (over 200 million years ago). Underneath the puzzle pieces, the tray image displays a dinosaur size chart, allowing kids to compare different species and understand scale while they build. Together, the puzzle becomes more than just a picture — it’s a hands-on way to explore ancient giants, living fossils, and real size differences through play.
